Danone claims to be the market leader in dairy derivative product  and bottled water. In 2007 Danone became the second largest baby food company in the world after buying Numico. In the United States, marketed under the names Dannon Danone, which is a subsidiary of Groupe Danone.

Danone holds several well-known brands such as Volvic, Evian, Aqua, and Badoit. Approximately 56% of sales in 2006 derived from milk derivative products, 28% of drinks, and 16% of biscuits and cereals.

Danone's name comes from a small company that was founded in 1919 by Isaac Carasso in Barcelona (Spain). The company produces yoghrut and named by Carasso first child, Daniel Carasso.

Ten years later, the first factory in France dibagun. During the German occupation in France during World War 2, Daniel moved to New York companies to avoid foreclosure due to the Jewish faith that was followed. In the United States, Daniel partnered with Joe Metzger and change the Dannon brand became to be more suited to an American.

In 1951, Daniel Carasso sold his business in the United States and returned to Paris to run the family business in France and Spain. In Europe, in 1967, merged with Gervais Danone, cheese producers, and changed its name to Gervais Danone.

In 1973, Gervais Danone merged with Boussois-Souchon-Neuvesel (BSN). BSN was founded by the family of Antone Riboud, transforming it from a small company into Europe's largest food companies through mergers and acquisitions in the 1970's.

Production Supervisor – Jakarta

Responsibilities

• Balance QCDME to achieve result in each area. Implement continous improvement mind-set


• Manage shift KPI’s, including visual control and provides regular progress report to peers and Production Manager


• Insure that policies and procedures are followed; including quality, process, operating procedure and GMP


• Maintain record and reporting


• Ensure Effective activity through coaching, development and discipline when nesessary.

Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Food Technology/ Nutrition/ Dietetics or equivalent.


2. At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.


3. Preferably Coordinator/Supervisors specializing in Food/ Beverage/ Restaurant Service or equivalent.


4. Full-Time positions available.

Engineer – Cikarang

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical engineering duties surrounding the following; mechanical devices, components, engines, environmental control, materials handling, machine tools, robots, automated manufacturing equipment, and power producing machines such as internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines


• Manage Engineering documentation


• Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details


• Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Engineering (Electrical/ Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.


2. Applicants must be willing to work in Cikarang Factory.


3. Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.
